《The Edges Markets》引述消息來源報導，革職信是在本月28日交給阿魯甘達。
The decision was made during a board meeting on June 25.
PETALING JAYA:Troubled state investment arm 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) has sacked its president and chief executive officer, Arul Kanda Kandasamy , effective Thursday (June 28), just two days ahead of his last day on June 30, according to a report by The Edge.
It has been reliably learnt that the decision was made during a board meeting on June 25 with his termination effective yesterday.
The termination letter, hand delivered to Arul Kanda on Thursday and sighted by the financial daily, had purportedly said that Arul was sacked on grounds of dereliction of duties.
Arul was brought in to turn around a troubled 1MDB in 2015. Before that, he was executive vice-president and head of investment banking at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank.
His contract was for three years, but he was given a six-month extension from Jan 1 this year.
